Trio Nuori - Haydn/Mendelssohn

With a Master's degree in music pedagogy, I teach Irish fiddle at the Musik-Akademie Basel and give private chamber music lessons, in preparation for orchestra competitions.

Since 2022, I have also been offering masterclasses for young musicians at conservatories and music schools - HEM Geneva, Foundation Hindemith, PESMD Bordeaux Aquitaine, École de musique de Pully.

From an early age, I received a rich and varied education, which has enabled me to develop professionally in a variety of musical styles and contexts, from classical to jazz and traditional music.

My teaching methods embrace these diverse influences: drawing on jazz and traditional music themes, I address issues such as breathing, rhythmic precision and pulse, harmonic awareness, improvisation, singing and the relationship between music and dance, all of which have played a decisive role in my own career.

“I find that learning tunes by ear and learning different techniques really expands my abilities and further helps me grow as a musician and versatile violinist. I can't wait for this class to be offered for others.”

Maya Webne-Behrman – Student – Hochschule für Musik Basel

“It's very inspiring for me, to discover the technique and culture of Irish music; and to challenge myself with a new way of learning. I find it very important also for my classical studies : it gives me a new breath in my practice, and allows me to return with more energy to my violin.”

Irène Queyroux-D'agostino – Student – Hochschule für Musik Basel

“The nice surprise for me was that not only was I having a great time in class, but I found that it really helped me with my classical playing. Some of the right hand techniques for folkloric music helped me feel more confident in the classical music. The precision of the rhythmic pattern and the pronounced danceability really helped me to see the dances from Bach's suites from a different perspective. Vincent is a real professional and attentive to each and every one of his students. “

Katsiaryna Shapachka – Student – Hochschule für Musik Basel
